Delegation Meets Representatives of Federdoc and Grana Padano Cheese Protection Consortium
On December 4, the China-Europe Business Delegation held a meeting in Rome with representatives of Federdoc and the Grana Padano Cheese Protection Consortium. The meeting was attended by 14 wine-related associations, including the Italian Federation of PDO Wines, the European Federation of Origin Wines, the Consorzio Vini Maremma, the Consorzio Prosecco DOC, and others, with several participating online. During the meeting, representatives discussed the pathways for Italian geographical indication wines and cheese products to enter the Chinese market, as well as brand promotion, quality traceability, and intellectual property protection mechanisms. The attendees also reached a consensus on participating in the China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement Forum to be held in Shunyi District, Beijing, and the China-Italy Agricultural Cooperation and Development Forum in Rome next year. All attending representatives expressed their willingness to actively organize more member enterprises to participate in these events, further advancing practical cooperation between China and Europe in the fields of agriculture and geographical indications.
